Pjentehus
Bed and Breakfast offer bed-nights in a renovated old house
of high standard. We have attractive rooms with TV and radio,
and a nice seclused garden with tables and benches at your disposal.
You can have your breakfast in our beautiful old kitchen. Our
house is placed in the very centre of town, only a few minutes
from the railway station. Good free parking possibilities. Bikes
may be placed in a locked area.
Pjentehus lies
in the heart of old Odense, only 200 meters from the house,
where H.C. Andersen was born. In 1879 the well-known architect
Monberg built Pjentehus as his private residence. The house
is lying in the historical part of the town, where Pjente-pond
and Pjente-mill where described as early as in the middle-age.
Whether you want
to go in the footsteps of H.C. Andersen, visit the museum of
culturel and urban history or you prefer to relax in the concerthall
or casino - it´s just "around the corner". The
number of museums is unrivalled in Denmark outside the capital,
and many activities take place in Brandts Klædefabrik,
the cultural dynamo of the region. We should like to make proposals
for places where you can get a nice meal or where to go for
excursions, and we are looking forward to welcome you to a lovely
stay/holiday.
